A strategic thinker, good listener and funny too: With great commitment and an open ear for the concerns of the team, Yola, as "Master of Disaster", manages the operational business of the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung and keeps everything running.
Team member since: I have been involved with the foundation since 2011; I've been in charge since 2014.
What I did before: Immediately before joining the foundation, I worked as an assistant to the managing partner at RAPS GmbH & Co. KG - before that, as a junior consultant in the corporate strategy and M&A department of a medium-sized construction chemicals company.
How I came to the foundation: I moved from the RAPS company to the foundation.
Role at the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung: I started alone as the only foundation officer at the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung. The team grew; I took over the team management of our colleagues and eventually also the operative management. I am now responsible for our strategic reorientation, strategy development and organisational structure.
Here's what working at the foundation is like for me: No day is like the next. We can and must react very quickly and very flexibly to developments. Which often means that you have to familiarise yourself with new topics quickly.
I like it very much that you can see in our work how change happens and how, with little input, a real, concrete difference can be made for people.
These three words describe me best: strategic, listening, funny
How to bribe me: dry red Spanish wine and chocolate
My passions: I spend most of my free time with my family. My four daughters keep me busy when I'm not tending to our large garden or the orchards. I never say "no" to a good book or a concert by my favourite artist. I am also involved in local politics.
