Natalie is a true small-town girl who is open and approachable and always sees the positive side of things, even in difficult situations. With her social skills and diverse professional experience, she is ideally suited to her role at the foundation.

Team member since: December 2025

What I did before: I have a bachelor's degree in theater and media studies and a master's degree in Francophone studies with a focus on the cultural space of Francophone Africa and political filmmaking. I have also completed further training in the areas of human resources management and diversity management. My professional experience to date includes working as a management assistant in science management at the Africa Multiple – Reconfiguring African Studies Cluster of Excellence, the Bayreuth Academy of Advanced African Studies, and the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies, as well as a management assistant in the field of management consulting for IT security and data protection, and as coordinator of the UNESCO Youth Forum at the UNESCO National Commission in Nairobi, Kenya.

How I came to join the foundation: Until then, I had mainly been aware of the foundation as a funding partner for social and innovative projects in the region. When I saw the job advertisement on LinkedIn in late summer last year, I immediately felt drawn to it and am now delighted to be part of the team.

Role at the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung: As a junior consultant, I am responsible for social welfare funding together with my colleague Miriam Lindner, and I also act as coordinator for internal processes within the foundation.

What makes working at the foundation so special for me is that I really appreciate the dedicated and great atmosphere within the team and the opportunity to work independently.

These three words describe me best: Tolerant , communicative, and enthusiastic

How to win them over: First and foremost, with culinary delights. Ideally in the fresh air. But it also works with a deep conversation or brainstorming together on a new idea or an exciting project.

My passions: Together with my family and a few good friends, we maintain a community garden on the edge of the Buchstein forest, which we affectionately call "Garden of Eden" or, as our friends call it, "the garden that always smiles." Here, I not only recharge my batteries in nature, but I can also fully indulge my social side, because the garden is also a central meeting place with my favorite people in Bayreuth. In addition, I have found fulfillment in voluntary cultural work over the past 13 years and am committed to a diverse, low-threshold cultural program at the non-profit art and culture center Neuneinhalb.

What else you should know about me: Traveling and camping are my life. I am also very interested in life stories told through the medium of documentary film. I once made a 50-minute documentary about political theater in Cameroon. It was my final project in my theater and media studies degree and certainly one of the most formative experiences of my life.
