Great, the "social bet 2.0" is on!

Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung doubles number of betting partnerships in the "Social Bet 2.0"!

4.11.2021

"Bet that your organisation will not manage to raise at least 300 euros in donations within five weeks?!" - With this call for bets, the application phase for the "social bet 2.0" of Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung, an initiative to actively promote social engagement in Upper Franconia, started in mid-October. The response was overwhelming: As the number of expressions of interest rose far above the original twenty betting partnerships to be awarded just three days after the official call for bets, the foundation decided without further ado to double them. A total of forty social and charitable organisations now have the chance to collect donations during the five-week betting period from 8 November to 10 December 2021 and to be rewarded with an attractive bet. If the bet is won with at least 300 euros in donations, the foundation will double the collected proceeds! The winnings are capped at 1,000 euros, whereby special commitment pays off. For example, there is a bonus of 1,000 euros on top for the most innovative fundraising campaign!

Forty instead of twenty social and non-profit organisations in competition fever

With the end of the application phase for the "social bet 2.0" of Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung last Friday, the participating betting partners have been determined. A total of forty social and non-profit organisations from all over Upper Franconia are thus following the foundation's call for bets. "Originally, there were only twenty betting partnerships to be awarded," says Tina Beeg, the foundation's social affairs officer. "But since we had already received well over twenty applications three days after the official betting call, we decided to double the number of betting partnerships to forty!"

Second "social bet" with fundraising approach

Encouraged by the great popularity of last year's "social bet", there was no question for the Foundation to start a second round of betting this year. While the betting concept still follows the gamification approach to increase the ambition of the participants, the object of the "social bet 2.0" is based on a purely financial approach due to the current needs of many social and non-profit organisations. Especially in times of the pandemic, it is above all financial means that many social and non-profit organisations are lacking. The aim of the unusual but also very low-threshold "social bet 2.0" was and is to enable as many organisations as possible to participate and have a real chance of winning.

Organisations benefit twice thanks to attractive betting profit

"Bet that your organisation will not manage to collect at least 300 euros in donations within five weeks!" - With this in mind , the betting partners now have to collect at least 300 euros in donations during the five-week betting period from 8 November to 10 December 2021 in order to win the "social bet 2.0". If this betting target is reached, the participating organisations will win an attractive prize! The foundation doubles the respective donation proceeds up to a maximum of 1,000 euros. A bonus of 1,000 euros will also be awarded to the organisation that was able to generate its donations with the most innovative fundraising idea. Within the framework of the "social bet 2.0", the foundation thus provides up to 41,000 euros in financial resources to support social commitment in Upper Franconia and comes a step closer to its declared goal of strengthening social participation throughout Upper Franconia.
