Social bet: 200 new volunteers for Upper Franconia
Participating organisations exceed all expectations
Already 23 out of 30 bets have been successfully concluded, thus winning over 200 new volunteers for Upper Franconia. The Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung is firmly convinced that the bets still open will also be in favour of the respective betting partners.
Overwhelming interim result for the "Social Bet" of the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung
Although the last betting period does not end until 10.03.2021, the current interim status of the "Social Bet" of Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung is already impressive: All 30 betting partnerships advertised were awarded between the beginning of September and the end of December 2020. 23 of 30 bets have already been successfully concluded, many of them even before the end of the three-month betting period or with a far higher number of new volunteers won than the three specified to win the bet. All in all, the participating organisations spread all over Upper Franconia have been able to recruit just over 200 volunteers for their projects - an average of eight new volunteers per organisation. It also looks as if the five outstanding betting partnerships will reach or even exceed the betting target. "The 'social bet' has been far more popular than we had initially expected. We are overwhelmed by the large number of participants and the commitment of the citizens of Upper Franconia," said Frank Alexander Kühne, Chairman of the Foundation. "The 'social bet' is already a great success for us!"
To support the five organisations whose betting period has not yet been completed, interested citizens are invited to contact Foundation Officer Tina Beeg by email at tina.beeg@raps-stiftung.de or by phone at 09221-8076097 for further information on corresponding organisations.
"Social bet" to strengthen civic engagement
Supporting civic engagement and thus strengthening social participation in Upper Franconia is a top priority for Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung . The "social bet" initiative makes this clear once again: the foundation bets that organisations will not manage to recruit at least three new volunteers to support their services within a period of three months. In line with the gameification approach, which serves to increase motivation, the Foundation's bet challenges organisations to actively search for possible supporters and to inspire them to take on the respective voluntary work. As is usual with a bet, the "social bet" of Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung also involves an attractive wager in the form of financial support of up to 1,400 euros per bet. If the betting condition is met with the third volunteer won, the organisation receives financial support in the amount of 500 euros. For every fourth to sixth volunteer won, the foundation donates an additional 100 euros and for every seventh to tenth new supporter even 150 euros. The Foundation thus releases funding totalling up to 42,000 euros.
