Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung launches call for funding

The Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung supports projects in Upper Franconia that strengthen social cohesion and promote democratic values such as respect, tolerance and humanity.

With a new call for funding for social projects, the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung , based in Kulmbach, wants to keep an eye on diversity and strengthen democracy throughout Upper Franconia. "We consider it necessary to set an example for the preservation of democracy," explains Yola Klingel, Managing Director of the foundation. This is not only done verbally, but also actively through the financial support of corresponding projects. "We want to be politically independent and yet take a very clear stance: for togetherness, human rights and social responsibility."

"You, me, us - a strong society"

"You, Me, We - a strong society" is the title of the call for funding. We are particularly looking for initiatives that make diversity visible and contribute to the resilience of the community. This can be done in a variety of ways, for example in the areas of political education and information, commitment against extremism or social diversity. Cultural and creative approaches in the form of art and media projects can be just as worthy of funding as neighborhood initiatives or community gardens, youth parliaments and democracy education in schools as well as anti-poverty projects. "Digital democracy can also be strengthened, for example through media skills workshops, participation platforms or projects against disinformation," adds Yola Klingel. The Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung is looking forward to creative and inspiring project ideas "that make our society more democratic, more open and more resilient."

Projects from all over Upper Franconia can apply

Each project can receive up to 5,000 euros in funding. Social and charitable organizations from the Upper Franconia region can apply. Interested groups/private individuals who would like to set up a social project and are prepared to found a new non-profit organization or join existing associations/organizations can also apply.

Applications can be submitted in digital form to info@raps-stiftung.de until December 31, 2025.
