Yes to No – Empowering Children, Protecting Borders

Sexual violence against children and adolescents is an issue that often goes unnoticed—yet it occurs right in the heart of our society. This makes projects that shed light on the issue, educate the public, and empower victims all the more important.

Through its prevention project “Yes to No,” Weisse Ring e.V. takes precisely this approach: it encourages children and adolescents to recognize their own boundaries and communicate them clearly. At the same time, it raises awareness among parents and educators and equips them to recognize warning signs and take appropriate action.

As a foundation, we support this project because prevention must start where children live and grow up. Because education protects. And because it takes courage to look closely and take action—with children just as much as with adults.

The project makes use of a variety of creative formats: from interactive workshops and theater activities to digital parent-teacher conferences and a central prevention day featuring an experiential course and hands-on activities. This approach helps convey a difficult topic in a way that is age-appropriate and relevant to real life.

The holistic approach is particularly effective: in addition to working directly with children and adolescents, the project helps break down the stigma surrounding the issue and strengthens collaboration between schools, parents, specialized agencies, and social institutions.

“Yes to No” demonstrates how prevention can be successful—through open, accessible, and sustainable approaches. It is an important step toward greater protection, better education, and increased trust.
