Highly exciting, inspiring and moving - The Hero*innen Festival 2022

With the Held*innen-Festival, the participating teams celebrate their further development in the program "Helden der Heimat Oberfranken". Three teams move on to Phase II.

10/2022

Creating new impact for the region - after the Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung in cooperation with the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the University of Bayreuth called for the third round of the "Heroes of Upper Franconia" competition in April 2022, nine selected teams embarked on a hero mission. In workshops and coaching sessions, the teams qualified and developed themselves further. The teams presented the results to the jury in a pitch format. Three of the nine teams were each awarded €15,000 in unconditional hero money and will receive an additional year of coaching and workshops.

Held*innen-Festival 2022 offers a stage for social commitment

All nine participating teams had the opportunity to present their personal and further development of their projects to the audience and the jury in a pitch at the Hero Festival in the German Steam Locomotive Museum Neuenmarkt. Thus, the diverse social commitment in the region of Upper Franconia became visible and brings the social actors the deserved attention.

These are the 2022 superhero teams

neo Makerspace "of the Institute for Innovative Education e.V.

Volunteers Upper Franconia Team neo Bamberg Institute for Innovative Education e.V. MINT Shortage of skilled workers
The team of the "neo

The Makerspace "neo" offers children and young people in Bamberg an out-of-school place to learn about technology. Here, children and young people can tinker, research and experiment. The aim is to introduce children and young people to MINKT topics (M=mathematics, I=informatics, N=science, K=creativity, T=technology). On the one hand, this allows children and young people to pursue their natural urge to explore, uncover undiscovered strengths and awaken their enthusiasm for technology and science. On the other hand, a real impact is created for Upper Franconia and the shortage of skilled workers is counteracted in the long term.

About the award are pleased:

Frank Fleischmann (Project Management Makerspace), Gisa Stich (Management Institutfür innovative Bildung e.V.), Carla Holtgarve (Staff Makerspace/Institute for Innovative Education e.V.), Christian Distler(Staff Makerspace/Institute for Innovative Education e.V.)

These are the hero teams 2022

Even though the evening only awarded three winning teams, there were no losers! All participants and guests benefited from new impressions, lively exchange and went home with the certainty that they made an important contribution to the Upper Franconia region. In addition, all teams can use their pitch to present the added value of their project to potential supporters. A competence that the teams can use for themselves in the long term. Pitching comes from the start-up scene. With a pitch, you can convince (potential) supporters of your project in a short time. The aim of the pitch format was to enable social actors to get to the heart of their social commitment in the shortest possible time. This is just as relevant for the acquisition of funding as for the recruitment of committed people or for reaching the target group.
