50 Years Adalbert Raps School

As one of six schools in the Kulmbach Vocational School Centre, the Adalbert Raps School (FOS/BOS) has been targeting students with intermediate qualifications for 50 years now, enabling them to achieve the entrance qualification for higher education (Fachhochschulreife), the subject-related entrance qualification for higher education (Fachgebundene Hochschulreife) or the general entrance qualification for higher education (allgemeine Hochschulreife). With the aim of creating a long-term sense of belonging and networking students beyond their actual time at school, headmaster Alexander Battistella and his team have come up with something special to mark the anniversary: An alumni platform where current students, graduates and friends of the school can now register. The platform, which was specially programmed for the Adalbert Raps School, enables communication with each other and also serves as an information channel for relevant news about school events. For example, the invitation and ticket sales for the planned anniversary celebration on 9 July 2022 on the grounds of the Kulmbach Vocational School Centre will also take place via the alumni platform. As the main sponsor, Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung is supporting the anniversary activities with financial resources of 12,000 euros.

50 years of Adalbert Raps School FOS/BOS Kulmbach: A reason to celebrate!

The Adalbert Raps School FOS/BOS Kulmbach, named after the founder of the foundation, Adalbert Raps, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. With its three fields of education - social work, technology, and business and administration - it is aimed at students with an intermediate school leaving certificate and enables them to obtain the entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife). By completing the 13th year, students can also obtain the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or the general higher education entrance qualification. In addition to the Hans-Wilsdorf State Vocational School Kulmbach, the State Vocational School for Construction Technology and Supply Engineering Kulmbach, the State School for Food Technology Kulmbach and the State Business School Neuenmarkt, the Adalbert Raps School FOS/BOS Kulmbach also falls under the umbrella of the Vocational School Centre Kulmbach. The Adalbert Raps School is celebrating its 50th birthday with a special gift in addition to an anniversary celebration, which will take place on Saturday, 9 July 2022 on the grounds of the Kulmbach Vocational School Centre: the establishment of an alumni platform.

Alumni platform: Connected with the school and (former) classmates

"It is a great concern of ours to maintain and strengthen the feeling of solidarity between our school and current and former students," says headmaster of the Adalbert Raps School FOS/BOS Kulmbach Alexander Battistella. With the goal of long-term networking between (former) students, teachers and friends of the school, he realised the idea of launching the FOS/BOS Alumni Platform on the occasion of the school's 50th anniversary. The platform and the other anniversary activities are supported by a financial grant of 12,000 euros from Adalbert-Raps-Stiftung . The platform, which was specially programmed for the Adalbert Raps School, serves both for networking and communication among each other and as a source of information about school events. For example, the invitation and ticket management for the planned anniversary celebration is also carried out via the platform.
